Two Small Strips of Gold Glimmer Paper

Two Small Strips of Gold Glimmer Paper

I’m sure everyone loves sparkle for Christmas greetings so I used two small strips of Gold Glimmer Paper as well as Gold Embossing Powder for this card!  And did you notice that we used a piece of the All Is Bright Designer Series Paper to add to the sparkle?  The gals who attended the Stamp-A-Stack of Christmas Cards were surprised at how quickly it went together and they loved the results!

  1. Cut Thick Whisper White Cardstock at 4-1/4″ x 11” – Fold in 1/2 to create standard card size of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.
  2. Use Crumb Cake Classic Ink to stamp verse inside the card base.
  3. Cut a piece of the Gold Ball DSP from All Is Bright DSP at 5-1/2″ x 2″.
    1. Use Snail Adhesive to attach to the centre of the card base.
  4. Cut 2 pieces of Gold Glimmer Paper at 5-1/2″ x 1/2″ – a great way to use those small pieces of glimmer paper!
    1. Use Snail Adhesive to attach 1 piece to each side of the DSP.
  5. Use Versamark Ink to stamp the greeting on Whisper White Cardstock.
    1. Sprinkle with Gold Embossing Powder.
    2. Melt with the Heat Tool.
    3. Use the Stitched Framelit and the Big Shot to cut out the greeting.
    4. Attach the greeting to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Star of Light Christmas Card

Star of Light Christmas Card

I’m so happy that Mint Macaron returned so I could use it for this Star of Light Christmas Card with Silver Glimmer Paper!  The Basic Gray layer does an excellent job of grounding the glimmering star.

  1. Cut Mnt Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2” – Fold in 1/2 to create standard card size of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.
  2. Cut Basic Gray Cardstock at 5-1/4″ x 4″.
    1. Attach to the card base with Snail Adhesive.
  3. Cut Whisper White Cardstock at 5″ x 3-3/4″.
    1. Use Basic Gray Classic Ink to stamp the greeting near the bottom of the layer.
    2. Use Mint Macaron Classic Ink to stamp the swirl on the front.
  4. Emboss with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and the Big Shot.
    1. Attach over the Basic Gray Cardstock layer with Snail Adhesive.
  5. Use the Starlight Thinlits with the Big Shot to cut out the Silver Glimmer star and the Mint Macaron star.
    1. Attach the Silver Glimmer star with Snail Adhesive.
    2. Attach the Mint Macaron star with Liquid Glue because Snail Adhesive will not work for this application.
  6. Embellish with a Rhinestone Basic Jewel.
