Card Designed to Hold a Gift Card
When there’s lots of DSP (Designer Series Paper) left in my stash, I’m always looking for unique ways to put it to good use. Recently I found a pattern for a card designed to hold a gift card. These are some samples of Gift Card Holders that I recently made to share. Of course, I kept a few to use for ourselves to use.
Instructions are quite simple:
- Cut DSP at 5-1/4″ x 12″
- Score at 4″ and 8″
- Fold on score lines
- Cut 1 flap on a diagonal
- Mount DSP on coordinating cardstock
- Embellish with your choice of greeting
These are the products used:
Each package of DSP has a great variety of colours to pick from – more samples from the same package are shown below:
This is a picture of the open Gift Card Holder – do you see how you can slip the gift card under the diagonal flap?
Easy Gift Card Holder
The gals who come to my Monthly Technique Club were very surprised when they realized how much fun it was to create this easy gift card holder! As you can see from the samples, each one looks different depending on which colour of cardstock you choose! Thanks to Michelle Bell for sharing the pattern for this!

And now you can take a look at the inside – I wouldn’t give a key card from a Super 8 Hotel – just happens that I have a lot of hotel key cards from our vacation trip to Chicago in August so I thought I could use them to show how the gift card would look when placed in the slot!!
Here’s a different colour for a different result!
