Sailing Home

Sailing Home

Here’s a sample made with the new Sailing Home stamp set – available June 4, 2019!  The words and images in this set are gorgeous.  I know I’ll be using it for many of my classes and samples. When combined with the new Stitched Nested Labels Dies, the possibilities are endless.

Details and instructions:

  1. Cut Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2” – Fold in 1/2 to create standard card size of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.
  2. Cut Whisper White Cardstock at 5-1/4″ x 4″. Use Big Shot and Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut out a window big enough for 2 sailboats and the seagulls.
  3. Use Versamark Ink to stamp the sailboats and seagulls on the front of the card base making sure they will show through the die cut out window. Sprinkle with White Embossing Powder. Melt the embossing powder with the heat tool.
  4. Use Snail Adhesive to attach to the front of the card. Make sure adhesive is placed near the window edges as well as the outside edges.

These are the products used for this card: (click on the item to order it from my online store)

Now for a closer look:

Friends Who Sail

There are friends who pass like ships in the night
Who meet for a moment, then sail out of site
With never a backward glance of regret
Friends we know briefly, then quickly forget

There are other friends who sail together
Through quiet waters and stormy weather
Helping each other through joy and through strife
And they are the kind who give meaning to life
