Celebrating 100 Years Young!

Celebrating 100 years young!!  No, I’m not the one who’s reached this milestone but we were lucky enough to be invited to a celebration for this happy event!  The woman who was celebrating is an amazing lady!  She was our neighbour on the farm for more than 20 years, was my junior high school teacher and has continued to keep in touch while moving to a few locations in Alberta before settling in our home town of Spruce Grove!!

What a delight to be able to visit and catch up on family happenings with her, her son and his family, her granddaughter, her grandson & his family – 4 generations of family friends – we are so blessed to know them!!

Of course, when we knew we would be attending, I just knew I had to make an extra special card for this extra special lady!!  I’m happy to share my creation with you here:

Country Floral Sympathy Card

Country Floral Sympathy Card

When you need a sympathy card, this Country Floral Sympathy Card is certainly a great one to make lots in a short time!  By using the beautiful Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder on the front layer of this card, you don’t have much more to do to create a striking sympathy card.

Details and instructions:

  1. Cut Soft Suede Cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2” – Fold in 1/2 to create standard card size of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.
  2. Cut Very Vanilla Cardstock at 5″ x 4″.  Use Big Shot and Country Floral Dynamic Embossing Folder to add a design.  TIP:  Use Liquid Glue to attach to the card base so that the adhesive will flow inside the indentations.
  3. Cut a length of Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon.  Use Mini Glue Dots to attach over the embossed layer.
  4. Cut Soft Suede Cardstock with Big Shot and Oval Framelits.
  5. Use Soft Suede Classic Ink to stamp greeting on Very Vanilla Cardstock.  Use Big Shot and Stitched Oval Framelits to cut out the greeting.  Use Snail Adhesive to attach to the Soft Suede oval.  Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the completed greeting over the ribbon.
