Sailing Home with Ribbon Thanks

Sailing Home with Ribbon Thanks

The Sailing Home Stamp Set lends itself to a great variety of card options.  Here’s one with a few layers and a simple “Thanks” greeting.  You can see another “Sailing Home” card here and a “Anchor” card here!  Thanks to Design With Jo for sharing her card in landscape orientation.

Now I’ll tell you how I put it together:

Cut Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2” – Fold in 1/2 to create standard card size of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.

Cut Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/4″ x 4″.  Use Snail Adhesive to attach to the card base.

Cut Whisper White Cardstock at 5″ x 3-3/4″.  Use Snail Adhesive to attach to the Crumb Cake layer.

Cut Seaside Spray Cardstock at 4-1/4″ x 3-1/4”
Cut Whisper White Cardstock at 4″ x 3″.  Use Seaside Spray Classic Ink to stamp the lighthouse from the Sailing Home Stamp Set on this layer. Use Snail Adhesive to attach to the Seaside Spray Cardstock layer.

Use Mini Glue Dots to attach a length of ribbon to the back of this layer. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the completed layer to the prepared card base.

Cut a piece of coordinating In Color DSP at 4″ x 1/2″. Use Snail Adhesive to attach near the bottom of the card.

Use Seaside Spray Classic Ink to stamp the greeting from the Sailing Home Stamp Set on Whisper White Cardstock. Use the coordinating die with the Big Shot to cut it out. Cut another “ribbon shape” from Seaside Spray Cardstock. Use Liquid Glue to attach the Seaside layer behind the Whisper White greeting. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the completed greeting layer over the DSP.

Here’s another look with a stamp on then evelope:

Memorable Mosaic Tree

Memorable Mosaic Tree

I think of weeping willows when I see this Memorable Mosaic Tree!  Of course, I’ve never seen a weeping willow with Rococo Rose leaves but, in this case, I’m pleased with the combination for a card. Thanks to Lisa Hardin (The Stamping Zoo) for sharing her design!

Let’s make it….

Cut Rococo Rose Cardstock at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2” – Fold in 1/2 to create standard card size of 5-1/2″ x 4-1/4″.

Cut Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″. Attach to the card base with Snail Adhesive.

Cut Whisper White Cardstock at 5 x 3-3/4″.

Use Early Espresso Classic Ink to stamp the “trunk” of the tree.

Use Rococo Rose Classic Ink, Mossy Meadow Classic Ink and Pear Pizzazz Classic Ink to stamp the leaves of the tree. Move the stamp over a little bit when using a different colour. Use Snail Adhesive to attach the Whisper White layer over the Mossy Meadow layer.

Cut Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 3-7/8″ x 1″. Use Snail Adhesive to attach near the bottom of the card. This is an easy way to add a “pop” of colour instead of using ribbon.

Stamp the greeting on Rococo Rose Cardstock with Versamark Ink. Sprinkle with Shimmer White Embossing Powder. Melt the embossing powder with the heat tool.

Punch out the greeting with the Timeless Label Punch. Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to attach the greeting over the Mossy Meadow strip.
