 A Special 90th Birthday Celebration!

 A Special 90th Birthday Celebration!

Once again we were honoured to be part of a special 90th birthday celebration!  My Aunt enjoyed having her family join her in her home to celebrate her 90th birthday.  She was surprised to see me, my hubby and my brothers join her family to celebrate as well.  The music, drinks, food and birthday cake added to the happy festivities and, of course, the time passed too quickly!

Seeing as we don’t often need cards for 90th birthdays or 100th birthdays, I retreated to my craft table and created this card especially for my aunt!  After searching Pinterest and Facebook for samples, I knew that this fancy fold with a “pop-up” inside layer would be perfect!

And to make the inside layer, I followed a YouTube video (sorry I can’t remember where!).  I love how they suggested using the Envelope Punch Board to round all 4 corners so they didn’t stick outside the card base!  The hardest part for me was getting the greetings stamped at the correct angle so they were straight when the card was opened up.  I think I did a pretty good job, don’t you?

Now for another look at the front of the card:

Floral Sympathy Card

I’ve found that making sympathy cards isn’t always a pleasant task so today I’m sharing this Floral Sympathy Card.  For a recent Sympathy Card Stamp-A-Stack, I used the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper for a lovely background to a sincere greeting.  When combined with the Gold Foil-Edged Cards and Envelopes, you will get a beautiful card to send.  #simplestamping

Measurements and instructions:

  1. Cut Petal Promenade DSP at 5″ x 3-3/4”.  Use Liquid Glue to attach to the front of the Gold Foil Edged card base.
  2. Use the Big Shot and the Scalloped Oval Framelit to cut a layer of Gold Foil Cardstock.
  3. Use Mossy Meadow (or Grapefruit Grove) Classic Ink to stamp greeting on Whisper White Cardstock.  Use the Big Shot and the Stitched Oval Framelits to cut out the greeting.  Attach to the Gold Scalloped Oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
