A Gift Card Holder with DSP for easy decoration!

Easy Gift Card Holder

This is a card that can hold a “gift card from a store” or perhaps a “gift card from Grandma for a hug”! It can be made with any Designer Series Paper (DSP) so you can make it for a Child’s birthday, a Wedding gift, a Father’s Day gift, or any other occasion. I like to have a few ready to use stashed in my “Card Box”!

Now let me tell you how I made it…

To begin, I used Blushing Bride Cardstock (#131198) cut @ 11″ x 4-1/4″, scored @ 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. The first step is to fold and burnish on the 5-1/2″ score line and fold at the 2-3/4″ sto the inside & burnish on the 2-3/4″ scoreline. Place 1 piece of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper (#154288) cut @ 4″ x 2-1/2″ over the 2-3/4″ piece. Use the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch (#138299) to create a “thumb notch”. Add Tear and Tape on sides only and seal Gift Card Holder flap. Add DSP to the front of the 2-3/4″ “flap”. Add Basic White Cardstock cut @ 5-1/4” x 4″ to the inside of the card with adhesive. Attach the last piece of DSP to the right side of the Basic White layer.

For the greeting…

Stamp a greeting from the Oval Occasions Stamp Set (#154477) on Basic White Cardstock (#159276) with Blushing Bride Classic Ink (#147100). Punch out with plain oval in the Double Oval Punch (#154272). Punch out a scallop oval from Blushing Bride Cardstock and attach it to the back of the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Poke a hole near the end of the scallop oval to thread a length of Linen Thread (#104199) through. Make a small loop and tie a knot.

Finishing touches…

Wrap a length of Blushing Bride Metallic Ribbon (#154283) (approximately 26″) around the gift card holder, add the tag, tie with a bow. You can use a Mini Glue Dot to attach the bow at the back of the card if you want to.
