We often think that we need lots & lots of supplies to make a beautiful card! This one proves that with some Designer Series Paper and some dies, it’s easy to make a card that can be used for any occasion. What occasion would you use this card for? My first choice would be birthday but I think it would be great as a sympathy card as well.
Let’s start with cutting the cardstock…
For this card, I cut 1 piece of Mango Melody Cardstock (#146989) @ 8-1/2” x 5-1/2″. Next, I scored it @ 4-1/4″, folded and burnished it to form the card base. The next layer was to cut a piece of 2021-2023 In Color Brights Designer Series Paper (#152487) @ 5-1/4″ x 4″ and attach it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Butterflies were cut from the DSP and the centre focal point was cut from the Butterfly Bijou Designer Series Paper (#156824). Unfortunately, that paper sold out quickly and is no longer available. The Butterfly Brilliance Stamp Set (#155092) and the coordinating Brilliant Wings Dies (#155523) are still in stock so butterflies can be stamped and cut out with the dies.
Basic White is always a good addition…
Cut a piece of Basic White Cardstock (#159276) @ 5-1/4″ x 4″ for the inside layer. The second piece of Basic White Cardstock was cut with Stitched Rectangle Dies (#151820) and used as the background for the butterflies. The softness of the lacy butterflies was accentuated by adding a layer of Vellum Cardstock (#101856). The final sparkle happened when the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#151193) were added!
