As the days in November are flying by, we all want to make cards that are “quick & easy”, don’t we? This card can easily be changed by using a different coloured background layer behind the snowflake die cut image! Just imagine Highland Heather or Magenta Madness behind this beautiful snowflake!!
Once again I started by cutting Whisper White card stock at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, score at 4-1/4″, fold and burnish with a Bone Folder.
Following that, I cut Night of Navy card stock at 5-1/4″ x 4″. But before attaching this layer to the card base with Stampin’ Seal, use a Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out a layer to put behind the greeting layer. This saves some card stock but, if you want, you could simply cut it from a piece in your scrap drawer.
By stamping the greeting with Night of Navy Classic Ink on a scrap of Whisper White card stock, cutting it out with a Stitched Rectangle Die, and embossing with the Dainty Diamonds 3-D Embossing Folder, I know it will coordinate with the snowflake layer.
Now the greeting layer was attached to the Night of Navy backing layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals and is ready to be put on the front of the card.
The final step was to cut a Whisper White layer at 4-3/4″ x 3-1/2″ – use a die from So Many Snowflakes to cut out a fairly large focal point. Now is the time to use the Dainty Diamonds 3-D Embossing Folder to add this delicate texture to this Whisper White layer. Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach this layer over the Night of Navy layer.
Embellish with a single Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the centre of the snowflake.
