Glimmer Ice Cream Cone

Glimmer ice cream cone

Ice cream is a favourite treat any day and this Glimmer Ice Cream Cone was a favourite card in my recent class! I’m not sure what flavour “purple glimmer” might be but if it’s ice cream, it’s bound to be good!!

Ice Cream Cone Glimmer

Let’s start with the glimmer…

The fun part begins when we use the Ice Cream Cone Punch #154241 to create the “waffle cone” from a sheet of DSP and the “ice cream” from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper #153056. To make the “cone” look more realistic, attach the cone with Multipurpose Liquid Glue and the “ice cream” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Now to cut the layers…

I started by cutting 1 piece of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock #133675 @ 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″, scoring @ 4-1/2″, folding and burnishing with the Bone Folder. Next the Purple Posy Cardstock #150881 was cut @ 5-1/4” x 4″ and a piece of Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper (DSP) #154567 was cut at 4″ x 2″ so it could be attached near the bottom of the Purple Posy layer. To complete this layer, I cut a length of Blackberry Bliss Striped Ribbon #154569 and attached it over the DSP. Oh, yeah, I also cut a length of ribbon to tie a bow and place it on the card front with a Mini Glue Dot.

Do some stamping…

Now it was time to do some stamping – Basic White Cardstock #159276 was cut @ 1 @ 4” x 2-3/4” or a similar size using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies #151690 and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine #149653. I chose a greeting from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set #154456, inked it up with Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink #147092, and stamped the greeting near the bottom of the Basic White layer. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to place this layer over the ribbon. Using the Stampin’ dimensionals raised this layer for a pleasing visual effect. The second piece of Basic White Cardstock was cut at @ 5-1/4″ x 4″ to attach inside the card base.
