How do we celebrate the 60th Wedding Anniversary?

With a special card, of course! I was recently asked to create this special card for a wonderful couple who are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary! I did some research into colours that were popular in the ’60s and learned that the bridesmaids’ dresses were yellow & mauve so I was on my way! Of course, I had a lot of shades of each colour to pick from and I decided that So Saffron Cardstock and Purple Posy Cardstock would be a perfect match.

Happy 60th Anniversary

For the base of the card, I used a full sheet of So Saffron Cardstock. You might be wondering why so big? I thought that the family might need lots of room for signatures! After 60 years, there are bound to be lots and lots of family to give loving wishes to the honoured couple.

The Basic White Cardstock behind the Purple Posy Cardstock makes the colours “pop”. Pear Pizzazz Cardstock turned out to be a great choice for the leaves. The So Saffron Classic Ink stamped flowers from the Pretty Perennials Stamp Set on Basic White Cardstock was a perfect match for the flowers. The Perennial Petals Dies are made to cut out the flowers, the leaves, and the adorning outline flowers. The Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine is needed to get the dies to work but, as you know, that’s a one-time purchase for so many great creating fun times! Sparkle Glimmer Paper is a great addition to show off the Large Numbers indicating the number of years! I used the Always In My Heart Stamp Set for the sentiments on the outside and on the inside.

Here’s a look at the inside of the card:
