Well Written Sympathy Card

Well Written Sympathy Card

This sympathy card lets the Designer Series Paper (DSP) do all the work!  All I needed to add was the Well Written Die “Sympathy” and stamp the Well Said “Heartfelt” in a coordinating colour to be cut out with a Stitched So Sweetly Die.  I left the inside of the card blank so I could write a special message of condolence.

Happy Retirement with Tropical Oasis DSP

Happy Retirement with Tropical Oasis DSP

Here’s a sample of a Happy Retirement card using a tropical destination theme!  I think we’ve all dreamed of traveling when we retire and spending some of those extra found hours relaxing under a palm tree or two.  That idea is what I used to design this card for a recent custom order.  My customer and I were both pleased with the results!

Happy 80th Birthday

Happy 80th Birthday

We were recently invited to a surprise 80th birthday party for a long time friend!  I was so excited because many, many years ago I babysat for this individual and her hubby so to be able to honor her on her special day was super special for me!!

The gathering of family and friends was organized by her 3 children and she was totally surprised.  She thought she was “going out for coffee” with her grandson – it was actually her 80th birthday that very day so I’m surprised that she didn’t suspect anything!

Many people don’t get to reach a milestone like this so I felt it was an honor to be able to make this special card for her.  Yes, I’ve used some retired products (large number framelits) but I felt they were really needed for this once in a lifetime card!

I LOVE how it turned out – sure hope I can share more with this special lady – like 85, 90, 95 and maybe even 100!!

Rooted In Nature Sympathy Wishes

Rooted In Nature Sympathy Wishes

The Rooted In Nature stamp set can be used for many different cards so I chose it for this sympathy card.  The greeting really does sum up the feelings I have when I hear of a death so it was very appropriate for my card.  The dies that coordinate with this set are easy to use with the Big Shot.  Coordinating Baker’s Twine that ties the card base and the first layer together completes this special card for a loved one.

Sympathy Card in Blueberry Bushel

Sympathy Card in Blueberry Bushel

Sometimes symapthy cards are the hardest to design and make, especially if you have a short timeline to get it completed.  Because of this, I usually hold a Stamp-A-Stack of Sympathy cards at least once a year for my customers.  This is one of the cards I made for a recent class.  The card base is not the usual 1/2 sheet of cardstock – it started that way but then had 1-1/4″ cut off the front layer.  By adding the greeting and it’s background layer, I discovered that it will stand on the table as most cards do.

Mini 2020 – Timeless Tulips Birthday Wishes

Timeless Tulips Birthday Wishes

When I see tulips, I always think of spring and with our current temperatures being -40C I really NEED to create with this Timeless Tulips stamp set from the 2020 January to June Mini Catalogue!  I used the Stamparatus to get the placement of the flower stems and the leaves exactly where I wanted them.  The Timeless Tulip stamp set is a Distinktive set which means that the shading on the tulips is built into the stamp.  This allows you to stamp once and have a beautiful shaded image.  The stamp set and the punch are bundled to save you 10%. Timeless Tulips
