Smile when you receive a Butterfly Brilliance Notecard

Butterfly Brilliance Dies

I hope you’ve found, and used, the Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes and the Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes! These “ready to go” packages of 20 cards & envelopes are thicker cardstock so they are great for card bases! As well, they are scored so you’re all ready to start.

For my cards, I wanted to showcase a couple of the smaller dies that are included in the Brilliant Wings Dies. The “little dots’ on the “smile” card and the “bricks” on the “thank you” card can be used to allow colour to peek through from the back of the Basic White layer. Do you see how easy it was to accomplish that?

Supplies used are…

  • Stamps:
    • Lovely You Stamp Set #152525
    • Handsomely Suited Stamp Set #15444

    • Pretty Peacock Classic Ink #150083
    • Purple Posey Classic Ink #150084 (no longer available)
  • Paper:
    • Basic White Note Cards and Envelopes #159232
    • Pretty Peacock Card Stock #150880
    • Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes #144236
    • Purple Posey Card Stock #150881
  • Accessories:
    • Stitched So Sweetly Dies #151690
    • Brilliant Wings Dies #155523
    • Butterfly Gems #152481
    • Rhinestone Basic Jewels #144220
    • Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon #149751 – approximately 12″
    • Purple Posey Scalloped Linen Ribbon #149706 – approximately 12″

Let’s see how it’s put together…

  • Notecards will be the card base – fold on the scoreline, burnish with a bone folder
  • Use the largest rectangular die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut a layer of coloured card stock – attach it to the card front
  • Wrap the ribbon around the front of the notecard with the ends meeting in the middle of the front. This will allow the Basic White layer will cover the ends of the ribbon.
  • Use the second largest rectangular die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and a die from the Brillian Wings Dies with the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut a layer of Basic White Card stock
  • Stamp the greeting on the Basic White layer – attach over the ribbon
  • Use the Brilliant Wings dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to cut out a detailed butterfly from the coloured cardstock – attach to the Basic White layer
  • Embellish with a coordinating butterfly from the Butterfly Gems and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel
